Blackfriars Further Education Business and Industry Day
March 24th, 2010

Wednesday March 24th 2010 from 9.30 am – 12.15 pm, followed by lunch. Guests are invited to experience firsthand the outstanding achievements of special needs students in Staffordshire, Stoke-On-Trent and surrounding areas. Blackfriars Further Education Department works with young people between the ages of sixteen and twenty-one with special needs and they would like to offer you the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour around our college and to view the diversity of experience offered.

E-Democracy and Climate Change - free event
March 24th, 2010

Wednesday March 24th, Staffordshire University 10 - 15 at The Pavilion, Staffordshire University, College Road, Shelton, Stoke ST4 2DE. Local speakers and interactive workshops on training trainers on e-democracy and climate change. This course is for people interested in sustainability and e-democracy as ways of becoming more involved in local government and structures. Participants will learn about these nationally and locally and have the chance to develop their own campaigns on topics they are interested in.

Drawing - A tool for design - free workshop

Wednesday 24 March 2010 10.30am – 4pm at Urban Vision North Staffordshire, School of Art, Queen Street, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent?ST6 3EJ. Cost: FREE. For artists and youth leaders and professionals who use drawing in their work/practice. Purpose: An opportunity for those working with children and young people, schools, lifelong learners and community groups to reflect on the role of drawing in professional practice, in education and in community participation.
